Wildlife & Activities

THE 145 000 HECTARE GREATER ADDO NATIONAL PARK surrounds the hotel where a range of spectacular horse-riding and hiking trails can be experienced from beginners to the more advanced.

Mountain zebra, eland, kudu, bushbuck, duiker, red hartebeest and other endemic game of the area can be encountered as well as prolific birdlife - the Forest Weaver and Knysna Loerie to name a few. Rhino can be viewed at Darlington Dam after a rugged 4x4 trail. From indigenous riverine forests to mountain fynbos the Greater Addo Park, including the Zuurberg Mountains, protects some of the last remaining vegetation of the region.
